Why your dog pees next to the pad, not on it
It's not your dog, and it's not you. It's the smell on the floor. Here's what helps.
You put the pad down. Your dog sniffs it, walks two steps, and pees on the floor right next to it. Again.
If this happens in your home, you're not alone. And your dog isn't being stubborn.
Why it happens
Dogs like to pee where it already smells like pee. When you clean the floor, some of the smell often stays. So your dog goes back to that spot, even with a pad right there.
Timing matters too. Most puppies need to go after they wake up, after they play, and about 5 to 30 minutes after they eat or drink. If the pad is far away or moves around, it's easy to miss.
What we changed
We made BRELIR, a washable pee pad with a scent that helps your dog choose the pad over the floor.
Every dog learns at its own pace. Some need a few days. That's normal.
- Wash it and use it again. Put it in the washer in cold or warm water, with no fabric softener or bleach. Let it air-dry, and use your second pad in the meantime.
- A dry floor underneath. The core soaks up the pee, and a waterproof layer keeps it off your floor.
- It stays in place. A non-slip base helps keep it from sliding around.
- Less trash. No more bags of used pads every week.
Free shipping from the US, with tracking. Arrives in 5 to 8 business days.
If your dog doesn't use it
We can't promise every dog will use it on day one, and we won't. Here's what we do promise: you have 90 days from delivery. If your dog doesn't use the pad, email us, send the pads back, and we refund what you paid for them. You pay return shipping, unless the pad arrived damaged or it's not what you ordered.
What to expect
Put the pad where your dog already pees. Take your dog to it after naps, play and meals, and praise your dog right away when they use it.
With two pads, one is always on the floor while the other one is in the wash.
One payment. No subscription.
